Assistant Professor of Integrated Marketing Communication

The Communication Division of the Seaver College of Letters, Arts, and Sciences at Pepperdine University invites applications for a tenure-track appointment in Integrated Marketing Communication to begin in August 2018. The successful candidate will have a commitment to excellent teaching at the undergraduate level, a clear research agenda, and will be actively involved in a Christian faith community.

The successful candidate will advise majors and be part of a highly selective interdisciplinary major. Applicants should bring teaching and research expertise in one or a combination of the following areas: Advertising, Marketing, Public Relations and courses integrating the three areas. Applicants should have a Ph.D. or equivalent in Communication or one of the above areas and be willing to collaborate with colleagues in other disciplines within the liberal arts college.

Pepperdine’s undergraduate Seaver College, a residential liberal arts college of just over 3,400 students, is situated in Malibu, Calif. Assistant Professor of Public Relations

The Communication Division of the Seaver College of Letters, Arts and Sciences at Pepperdine University invites applications for a full-time tenure-track position: Assistant Professor of Public Relations beginning in the 2018-2019 academic year.

The successful candidate will be able to teach several basic and advanced level courses within our 100-plus student major, engage in active research, and provide professional and academic service. The ideal candidate will demonstrate professional experience, evidence of effective teaching, and a documented research interest in the field of public relations. The successful candidate also will show active concern for diversity/inclusion in their scholarship or practice. Additional responsibilities for this position may include co-advising student-run public relations organizations, serving as curriculum adviser for students, and building networks with agencies, nonprofit and government organizations, and alumni. A PhD in Communication, or a terminal degree in a related field, is required.
