Just a few weeks ago the Southern States Communication Association officially approved the establishment of a new interest group in Ethics & Philosophy of Communication. Tom Socha notified me today that we received unanimous support from the executive board at their meeting during the NCA convention in San Francisco.
We owe our first steps toward success to the diligent and persistent work of James Pickett at Flagler College on the bylaws, petitions, and essentially all the details that are required for official status. This interest group originated out of his energies, from the very beginning.
We still have to wait for official word on our panel and business meeting in the SSCA schedule for Little Rock, but once the details are announced I will pass them along.
